Next-generation insulation material

with high energy efficiency

AIMT’s VIP, composed of high barrier film (metallized or ceramic coated film) enveloping core material (glass wool) and gas absorber (metallic oxide-based), has insulation performance of thermal conductivity below 0.002 W/mK, which is more than 10 times better than conventional insulation.

Core

AIMT’s VIP uses core material composed of glass wool (for home appliance, construction, coldchain packaging) or eco-friendly r-PET fiber (for coldchain packaging, especially for food)

It has an optimized porosity and pore size, ensuring not only excellent insulation performance but also long-term durability. By using fibrous material with constant diameter and length distribution, we minimize the VIP’s performance variation and maintain high quality. In addition, AIMT’s VIP has earned a non-flammable first grade in Korea, thanks to the glass wool’s excellent fire resistance and ceramic based envelope.

Envelope

AIMT’s VIP uses envelope made of non-metallic (ceramic based) high barrier film, which ensures high durability and reduces thermal edge effect.

The insulation performance is enhanced by 2~5 times compared to the Aluminum based film by minimizing heat flow along the surface of film.

Getter

AIMT’s VIP uses gas absorber (getter) which removes various gas components (oxygen, vapor, CO2, etc) penetrating through the envelope.

It has a high cost-effectiveness thanks to AIMT’s own simple manufacturing processes composed of two stages of firing and mixing.

Vacuum insulation panels by AIMT are mainly composed of evacuated core material, special outer film envelope surrounding the core,

and high performance getter.

AIMT VIP is a highly efficient superior insulation material that have ultra low thermal conductivity under 0.002 W/m.K,

which is 10 times better in insulation than commonly used insulation materials such as polyurethane foam and polystyrene.
